Liam's Family

There really are no words to describe the feeling my husband and I had when received our grant from the GLADS, IDSC, and SUFD! When we unexpectedly decided that we were going to adopt our son, one of our biggest worries was covering the adoption cost. It was a heavy weight we carried while at the same time navigating all our sons medical aliments. My husband and I were relying on any kind of miracle to have this financial weight lifted off our shoulder. When the grant award letter came we had no idea what to expect but we were both in tears for the amount awarded to us. This was the miracle we prayed for so hard, and GLADS, IDSC, and SUFD lifted that heavy weight off our shoulders, as a result 100% of our focus was on our sweet little boy. It has made a world of a difference in our life and we are forever grateful!

From the bottom of our hearts we want to thank you for relieving such an enormous amount of stress and pressure, your donation allowed us to be more present in Liam's emotional and physical well being. We have definitely experienced so much joy, love and have been able to bond with Liam more fully, we found these things to be a crucial part in Liam's recovery because it made him stronger, happier, and determined to do well during and after his open heart surgery. 

We can't thank you enough for what you have done for our family and we are grateful everyday for people like you who make such an impact in others lives, especially our families life!

Liam is doing significantly well and has fully recovered from his open heart surgery, he is now learning to eat by mouth so we can transition him off the feeding tube. Ila Mae will turn 3 in March, she is doing very well! Thank you for your continued support and we hope you have a merry christmas!

Liam is now 2 and enjoys being with his sister. He is such a special part of our family along with his sister Ila. Ila and Liam are doing so well, especially Liam. He has come a long way and is developing so beautifully after his heart surgery back in September. It so good to hear all the many great things happening in your family. I too believe God is so good. Although these times seem bleak there is still so much goodness in the world. What really makes me truly happy is watching my children grow up and spending time with my entire family. What a blessing it is to have family!
