Bennett's Family

Our adoption story starts with our sweet 3 year old Madilynn who also had Down Syndrome. She opened our world to how amazing these kids with Down Syndrome are and what a blessing they can be to our lives. When we decided to add to our family last year, we decided that we wanted to adopt! I reached out to a friend and she pointed me in the direction of the NDSAN. Stephanie was so amazing and helped us through the entire process. On January 6th, Stephanie called us and told us the best news we had ever heard. We had been chosen by a birth family! Since our sweet boy had already been born, we were on a plane the very next day to meet him! It was exciting and nerve wracking all at the same time. But, all of the fears left the moment we held our little guy.

Bennett is the perfect addition to our family! He is sweet and silly. His giggles fill our home with such joy and we cannot wait to see him grow! His siblings absolutely adore him, as do we. We have kept in contact with his amazing birth family and are blessed by their love for him as well.

It’s been awhile since our last update. Bennett is doing amazing! He is learning so much! He knows his ABC's, his colors and shapes. He loves school and can't wait to start Kindergarten next year! He is finally walking and is happy to be able to keep up with his siblings a little easier now!
